Having been unable to serve you with a volume of the Encyclopedia Britannica since August 1882 (vol. XIII) we beg to draw your attention to the enclosed copy of your subscription contract for the entire work. As your instructed us we ordered the set for you and cannot now do otherwise than hold you to the contract to which we have your signature. An agent will call in you with volume XIV and we trust you will see the importance of receiving it and subsequent ones as you agreed.
