Manuscript Description: Handwritten by C. W. Scott on the stationery of the Library of the New-Hampshire [sic]
College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts, from Hanover, New Hampshire.
Editorial Note: Scott tells Mary Baker Eddy that he has received a card (not extant) from her and
that he is not the librarian of Dartmouth College but of the New Hampshire College,
also located in Hanover, New Hampshire. He writes that there is no copy of the work
she has mentioned, probably the third edition of Eddy's book, Science and Health, in the library of the New Hampshire College. They would be pleased to receive a
copy if Eddy would like to send one. While Scott was the librarian of Dartmouth College,
he received a volume from Eddy, and he thinks the work she wants to send him now was
received by the present librarian there last summer. He will hand Eddy's card to that
librarian.
