I wrote the enclosed sheet yesterday, trusting that a few weeks would find me a student in your College, Last night my sister gave birth to a son, A Mrs. Swift a ScientistEditorial Note: Christian Scientist has been treating for about five weeks with this result

She was in bed just fifteen minutes when the baby was born - The attending physician who had said a half hour before that there was every symptom of a long hard struggle, was greatly surprised. In the midst of our rejoicings came this great trial, the infant has a double harelipAs Written:hair lip. My sister is only twenty seven years old and this is her second child the first one was stillbornAs Written:still born - It seemed for a few minutes as if it was more than we could bear & how could we ever tell her. I said to my mother - I know if Mrs Eddy can take the time she can heal that, when we finally told my sister she asked me immediately to write you and implore you to heal her baby, The roof of its mouth is perfect and only one side of the jaw is open to the nostril, only the lip is broken on the other side.
