My Dear Mrs. Eddy.

I suppose you will not be surprised to receiveAs Written:rec a letter from an unknown friend; as you must have very As Written: verry many. It has been but five weeks since I first heard of you & the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science, that has been entrusted As Written: intrusted to you. A friend of Mrs Wigglesworth (whose name I see among your testimonials) came to see me and brought her bookEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. My mind was so weak with my beliefs that I could not investigate it much, but its As Written: It principles seemed to me to be light shining upon darknessJohn 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. that had enveloped me so long. I think God has been preparing me to comprehend it somewhat & trust that in His As Written: his own good time It will fully be revealed to me. I am giving up Physics for Metaphysics think it far superior, but am not entirely rid of all any beliefs. this friend of whom I speak sent me the two volumesEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy have had them most three week; myself & husbandEditorial Note: W. F. Savage enjoy reading them more than we can tell you. I have some friends that I would like to have know the glad tidings, & presume if they had the books would not be willing to part with them. If you will send me 3 & 4 copies As Written: coppies will remit to you as fast as I can make sales for them.

I am so situated that I shall have to work in this cause for awhile my corresponding with them but had I the books could send them. and that is the only way I can teach Metaphysics unless I am educated higher, I am only a pupil myself as yet but think I can discern the light that foretells the dawn. I feel that it is this hand that leadeth me to you has been entrusted a great work: may the work go on untilAs Written:untill His Kingdom comes & His will is done on earth as it is in HeavenMatt 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. .
