KenyonSeeing your card, in “Journal of Christian Science,” & being much interested in the SubjectEditorial Note: Christian Science, & desiring further particulars, I take the liberty of addressing you, trusting to receive an early reply; & hope, by doing so, not to occupy, too – much, of your valuable time. My case is just here. I should like, exceedingly well, to study with you, but, am pressed for funds, just at present. Am in a good position, & at a good salary; but, it takes it all, in the support of myself, my Mother & invalid Sister; who has been suffering for 3 or 4 years from Nervous Dyspepsia & Nervous Prostration. Have spent a good amount, but, the Physicians do her no good. I send her, to the Sea Shore, Nantasket Beach, Newport As Written: New-Port &c., & though she appears better, at the time, don’t make any great improvement. Now, can’t some satisfactory arrangement be made, whereby I can improve the present favorable opportunity, by studying with you? My Sister is extremely Morbid, on some subjects, & I trust, I could help, if only I could learn your ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science, & have you teach me. Can give you references, if you desire, for past Character &c., having been in my present position, since July 18 – 1871 (over 13 years.)
