Dear Madam,

For some time I have been much interested in your method of treatment of the sickEditorial Note: Christian Science and I desire to know more of it.

Nearly two years ago, I received a course of treatments from one, who had studied the scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science, but it was of no avail. Since then so many of our city have been cured of various diseases that I have been led to hope that I too might be cured – for I believe that God’s power is unlimited. As my trouble is of an obstinate nature and one which has baffled some of the best M.D’s of Boston, I thought I should like to come to you and if possible receive treatment from you personally – I know that you do not as a rule treat the sick, but hope you will make an exception of my case – At least I hope to hear from you soon telling me what is best to do.

Yours truly –
Eliza B. Higgins.
