My dear Mrs Eddy-

I am reading your book- "Science & Health-"Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy over & over- I hope to be able to study soon- but if I could only see you, or you, could see me, rather, & tell me if I am fit to study, with the intention of healing - I feel that I do with God's As Written: Gods help – help others to be better in mind & body – my friends acknowledge As Written: acknoweledge it – - but I must be prepared & have a right to practice, before I can claim the power- I have talked with Miss Tyter who heals here in Calais & other places near- she thinks a Mrs or Miss Bartlett may come to Calais to teach but I want your advice – I want to see you, & if you would only give me some encouragement I would go to BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts this Fall to study –

I am a widow with six boys- & my money cannotAs Written:can not last long unless, I can earn - but the truth is - I don't As Written: dont care so much for the money - but I want to be able to teach or practiceAs Written:pratice "Christian Science"- to help the world be better. I claim to be a Christian since three years ago this month when my husband left me, for a better. life, I trust– I do not sin– intentionally, I try to live in Harmony with God's laws – & do good - can I have your rules for Healing - without studying – if I pay my money & what shall I pay - you understand I ask the right to Heal & Teach if I am able, money is no object to me - for myself - I wish to do my duty by my children & to the world, I keep myself & family in health with the help of dear friends who live near to God – "I know what I know"– please write me just a word of advice As Written: advise or encouragement we need the power of God manifested As Written: manifisted here in Calais if anywhereAs Written:any where- & I might do, when Miss Tyter fails to reach, when could I see you to talk with you if I go to Boston this Fall - or could I see you at all – you are so busy - I suppose – I have a curiosity to see you as others had to see Christ in the olden time – but much more I want to be what you are or like you - help me
