I have been looking through the C. S. Journal and there have read of your ability to heal & cure diseases. My health being poor a friend of mine urged and recommended me to you concerning my case.

I am a clergyman by profession. Have pursued this calling for 11 years -

One year & a half ago I began to be troubled with hemorrhage of the lungs. Within the space of 6 or 8 months from the first attack I am sure I bled as often as 8 or 9 times - Some attacks were very severe - lost a large quantity of blood - Immediately after the first attack of bleeding a severe cough set in which has followed me ever since. Sometimes the cough is very violent and often accompanied with severe straining As Written: straning and vomiting.

I raise considerable mucus, still I have no acute pain of the lungs but a weakness - I am troubled a good deal with hoarseness and soreness of throat.

My relatives on either side were not consumptiveEditorial Note: Consumption was the name used in the nineteenth century for the disease known today as tuberculosis.. My difficulty I believe to have been brought on by overworkAs Written:over work and want of obedience to the laws of self preservation.

I have had to cease my mission and am exceedingly anxious to go out again to preach the glorious gospel of our Lord & SaviorEditorial Note: Jesus Christ.

If you can do anythingAs Written:any-thing for me in healing my disease and restoring health I should be willing to sacrifice a great deal.

Whatever your terms are please let me know. What are your directions to patients? Will they be at liberty to take medicine or will this have to be, abandoned entirely?

Hoping to hear from you soon

I am Yours
Respectfully
