Excuse my intruding upon your time, I know but little of Christian Science, having As Written: haveing read but three of your Journals, But I hope sometime to come to A true understanding of God and his power to heal. As I understand by reading your Journal. A few treatments will heal the sick, Now what I would say is this, I have A daughter, that has suffered from nervous As Written: nerverous prostration for some time and is afraid As Written: afreed to go out alone. By the advice As Written: adviced of kind friends, she placed herself under treatment of one of your students last August. She is better in some ways. but this Morbid condition of Mind does not leave her I think that she has tried As Written: tryed to do faithfully all that has been required of her she is still under treatment. but now I simply come to you as the man did to the Master And say we have brought her to thy disciplesAs Written:dicipels and they have not cure herMatt 17:14 ¶And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Matt 17:15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. Matt 17:16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. Matt 17:17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. Matt 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Matt 17:19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? Matt 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matt 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. Luke 9:37 ¶And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him. Luke 9:38 And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child. Luke 9:39 And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him. Luke 9:40 And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not. Luke 9:41 And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither. Luke 9:42 And as he was yet a-coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father. . can you tell me why? I do want God to be honored. May God's will be done
