I have had a paper handed me a few days ago by a lady who was just leaving the City for her home in Denver – I have since read it and am deeply interested in it – “Journal of Christian Science”, and I now write to you for Some information on the SubjectEditorial Note: Christian Science as the lady spoken of had not the time to tell me of its nature even if she knew, What is this healing power? Is it done by the laying on of handsMark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. , or by Faith or prayer? Is it a gift inherited or acquired & does everyoneAs Written:every one possess it or is it a certain few that have it or can have it? You see that I am quite ignorant in regard to it in any sense – I hope & trust that you will enlighten me by giving me the desired information – How is one to know if they possess this healing power? Any information that you will give me will be thankfully received & duly appreciated – Enclosed you will find postage stamps for a pamphlet entitled “Christian Healing” and a stamp for reply
