My dear Mrs. Eddy.

If I remember right, the meeting of the U.S. Association occurs tomorrow, and I suppose my application for membership will be acted upon at that time, and I trust favorably. If so, please notify me immediately as I wish to advertise in our local papersEditorial Note: Janette E. Weller apparently wished to advertise as a Christian Science practitioner (healer). as one of its members ready and more than willing to take up the work faithfully, and to submit cheerfully to whatever discipline I am called to experience. My daughter left home last Saturday. stopped at Bellows FallsEditorial Note: Bellows Falls, Vermont till this morning. goes into Boston today. and will call on you soon. I miss her sadly. for she is such a comfort to me. I wish you could know what a strong character she is for one so young. I hope she will love you and feel familiar toward you for I think she now looks upon you as something so beyond her comprehension, that it will be impossible for her to feel at ease in your presence.

And now about my patients. I can say but little except that I have six, all cases of long standing. one of deafness. and one rupture. I have not done my duty by any of them yet, for I was obliged to give my time to preparing Fonties wardrobe for a winter's sojourner in Boston: but my patients are my friends, and understand how I've been situated. I shall now devote my whole time to the work, and hope I may do something toward the promotion of this good causeEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science. in LittletonEditorial Note: Littleton, New Hampshire. I received your kind letterEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. last night. Am sorry Miss Noyes is ensnared but we have done our duty by her. Please send me ½ doz. setsAs Written:setts of “Science and Health”,Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. and I will remit immediately. I hope to have something of more interest to write you after I get established in my work.
