I have received a note from Mrs. Hopkins in which she intimates that it is contemplated to make some change in prints of Journal of Christian Science, althoughAs Written:altho’ she and Mrs. Crosse would still like to have me do the work. I know you are not now actively engaged on said journal, but tell you how matter stands that, if so disposed, you will use your influence to have me still keep the job, unless the work is unsatisfactory. I bought all new special rules to do the work, and if I lose it they will be of no further use to me – at least, unless I can secure a similar job. The price I do the work at ($37.50Editorial Note: $37.50 in 1884 is the equivalent of $1,038.34 in 2017. 1st thousand and $8.50Editorial Note: $8.50 in 1884 is the equivalent of $235.56 in 2017. after thousands) is quite reasonable; but rather than lose the job, especially as I have hired another office to do it in with two other periodicals, I will take it at the lowest figures of any other printer who can really do the work. This should be satisfactory. I do not think usually lower figures can be obtained; thoughAs Written:tho’ possibly to get the work somebody As Written: some body may put in a less tender.

With regards.
