Accession: 551.58.028
Editorial Title: Fred J. Hutchinson to Mary Baker Eddy, April 12, 1883
Author: Fred J. Hutchinson
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: April 12, 1883
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Fred J. Hutchinson from Boston, Massachusetts. The paper is stamped in the upper left hand corner, giving Hutchinson's name, his profession as a lawyer, and his address.
Editorial Note: Hutchinson is responding to a letter he received from Mary Baker Eddy dated April 10, 1883 (L14030). He tells Eddy that if she wants her doctrines to be widely accepted, she should correct false statements about cures through the practice of Christian Science that she claims her students have brought about. And she should require her students to correct any false statements they make as well. Hutchinson also refers to Eddy's request in her letter that he help with her correspondence. He is not sure if she is sincere in this request, but if so, he must reply that he has no time to help her as he has just finished his studies and is now establishing himself in the practice of law.
