Dear Mrs Eddy.

I want to ask your advice about a case here that seems hopeless. It is that of a Mr Robinson who has an abscess just on the inner side of the spinal column. It was operated upon about 4 months ago, and has discharged quite freely ever since. But he has grown weaker gradually until he depends entirely upon opiates (Morphia used hypodermically). to deaden the pain. Dr ShermanEditorial Note: Bradford Sherman or Roger Sherman has been treating him since last Friday, and at first the young man had confidence in him, but now that his pain does not cease, he is denying any good that might be done. He knows (he thinks he does) what the treatment is and says now, that Dr ShermanEditorial Note: Bradford Sherman or Roger Sherman cannot heal such a case as his. Will it do any good for Dr S.Editorial Note: Bradford Sherman or Roger Sherman to continue the treatment? My husband and I have full confidence that he can be healed Metaphysically, and are very anxious that it should be done speedily. We are studying your volume Science and HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and are in hopes to take a course soon. Please send us the Announcements of the coming term, also information as regards board and expenditure. If we come we will be obliged to get along as cheaply as possible.

My husband is a Homeopathic Physician, but will get rid of his medicines, for the sake of the true method of healingEditorial Note: Christian Science.

Yours in the Truth.
