that I better not teach for $50.00Editorial Note: $50.00 in 1888 is the equivalent of $1,540.29 in 2022. will you please write me a line such as you know I need– being a statement- in regard to the price from you- that I can show it if it seems necessary- at this time of so much discussion — cheap As Written: cheep teachers from other colleges &c – We must cling to you & ask your advice in these matters I feel- We are assailed on every corner & the only way is, cling to the truth As Written: tructh , and- you, as our authority in teaching the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science. I hope to do something at Chatutauqua this Summer-

I fully realize that God is All- there can be nothing else- and the only thing we can depend on is this Science which does teach us the way to live and that there is no death my desire– is to grow in the understanding of this truth- that I may be of use and to the works of our MasterEditorial Note: Jesus Christ- I know that our desire– is God's promise and that it will be given us as we work for it- and now I am prepared As Written: preparred to devote my whole time to this work - and shall work constantly–
