Dear Mrs. Eddy-

After carefully considering your replyEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. to my noteEditorial Note: This note is not extant. of this A. M. - I can only say - on those conditions ("to give my note for $100Editorial Note: $100.00 in 1885 is the equivalent of $2,647.00 in 2019. payable on demand with interest.") it will be impossible for me to enter your class. I am already in debt and do not think it right to incur the responsibility of more. - So at present it would not be possible for me to enter your class other than as a Charity Student.

Yours Respectfully
