You cannot imagine my joy when we received our Journals yesterday, to see that you have accepted the chairEditorial Note: This was announced on page 43 of the May 1886 issue of The Christian Science Journal under the heading “National Christian Scientist Association.”. of the N.C.S.A.-

First, the causeEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science. needs it, Second, I am incompetent, (in belief) Third, I am honored, (in the Successor) Fourth, I am out of hot water, for the seat was too high for me, but I know the Principle will lead me up to be worthy someday As Written: some day – ie. I mean that He will give me the consciousness tha t I am worthy –

But all things are lovely now, solid As Written: soled as a rock, nay, more solid As Written: soled even Eternal As Written: Etirnal – God will bless and bless you and your loving children more and more – How good I feel as I think of you, your gift – your Love – your work

and when I read of the last class- where the "old sheep" begin to come inEditorial Note: This is apparently a reference to the fact that there were four clergymen in that class, as reported in the article “Last Class at the College” on page 48 of the May 1886 issue of The Christian Science Journal. – how I do like to hand those journals over to my presbyterian brothers, who are afraid that our ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science will corrupt their Theology – I do love that Mr. Adams for his testimony that you and your "letterbook" have taught him more than all the rest of his studiesEditorial Note: This sentiment is found in a letter by Joseph A. Adams titled “Competent Testimony.” on page 40 of the May 1886 issue of The Christian Science Journal. – Grand, God will bless him forever – Please excuse me for taking up so much of your time – and go on to the victory. we will follow as fast as little children can go- how Grand is Mind– even one thought.
