My parents wrote to you the 25th, of JanuaryEditorial Note: See 493.55.012, and we have not heard from you, didn’t As Written: didint know as to whether you received the letter, or was treating the case, we thought the latter. I am better anyway As Written: any way , I have had to walk very slow, and not very much, for over a year, but now, - I go almost natural, it does not seem possible. My trouble is all in the lower part of the bowels. Of late I have had some funny feelings sometimes if I go to bend over, it seems as if something As Written: some thing fell down, and will cause me severe pain, then when I get up it seems to go back, and will hurt me to sit down. A short time ago I went to sit down in one of these large rocking chairs, (I knew the chair was there, but I never looked back to see if I was going to sit down all right), it has got sort of a pointed arm, and I sat right on the very point of it, on the end of my spine just hit there, it hurt me cruelly, stunned me for a moment. Since then, if I sit very long, it will commence to ache, feel so long, and will hurt me to walk for a few minutes, and that seems to make the pain in the lower part of the bowels feel worse, and then again, when I turn in a certain position, a sharp pain will catch me there, and seems to spring up, and I have to change my position, But I have felt better for a day or two now, and hope I am gaining all the time. My bowels are very constipated, I very seldom have a movement, without an injection. At times an eruption comes out on my face, and other parts of my body and fearful sore lips. I have always had catarrh, very badly in my head, so that large crusts will form, causing an offensive odor, and headache, some.

I believe I have given you my principle ailments, I wish that I might hear from you especially if you are treating my case, if nothing but a line, I shall be glad to get that.

Yours Truly,
Bertha M. Hoyt
