Accession: 488.55.008
Editorial Title: Henrietta E. Day to Mary Baker Eddy, Unknown month 8, 1881
Author: Henrietta E. Day
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: Unknown month 8, 1881
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Henrietta E. Day on lined paper from Boston, Massachusetts.
Archival Note: Day states that this letter was written on Thursday the 8th, 1881. In two months in 1881, the eighth day fell on a Thursday: September and December.
Editorial Note: Day tells Mary Baker Eddy that upon returning from a very interesting lecture by Eddy, she found a check from a family that was moving away because of continued sickness and that wants to relinquish their lodgings to a new tenant. Day says she will hold on to Metaphysics in hopes that time, faith, and understanding will eventually induce some to seek the truth from Day. Day feels she could not retire for the night before writing to Eddy, but she does not want to "excite" Eddy's sympathies unnecessarily in her behalf. She will see Eddy again on Sunday.
