Now Mrs Eddy I want to ask of you a favor & hope you will treat this Poor letter - with as much mercy as Possible if I could only talk with you a few minutes I could tell you so much better than by writing what I have to say. I am suffering so much Pain todayAs Written:to day & have been several days that I hope you will excuse all mistakes & my only hope of ever being well - or able to do any good in this world is through this ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science. & although a stranger to you I beg of you to give me a favorable answer, if you only knew what I have suffered, being a woman yourselfAs Written:your self - & also having suffered greatly - I Pray you will be mercifulAs Written:mercyful to me a Sinner"Luke 18:9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Luke 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. Luke 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. Luke 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. Luke 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. Luke 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. - as our Father in heaven is mercifulAs Written:mercyful."Luke 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. for I feel & believe that I can be healed both bodily & mentally if I can only be allowed the Blessed privilege As Written: Privelege of Learning of you".
