My Dear Friend

Will you come to my house after the meeting at Mrs Choate's tomorrow, and meet Mr. Woodbury from 5.30 to 6– P.M. You have seen my husband– you know that he is a true clean man- and he wishes to see you and the Dr also for he feels that there are some points which he would like to present to you- for consideration—

Some of his views are as follows If I go into metaphysics he would insist on my going into it in its highest sense — that of healing the sick and the sinful and in that work he would join me– with heart and soul– He says that we will both work to introduce you into the best circle of minds we have in BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts- We will pave the way for you to a safe and substantial platform- where you will be head and shoulders above mesmerism— and his advice would be this— That you take rooms here in this city through the daytimeAs Written:day time anywayAs Written:any way– that you give your whole time and energy to healing the sick and speaking in such places as we will obtain for you–

I will win a place for you with James Freeman Clarke as well as Mr Hale– You shall be heard and you shall have patients enough to put you financially where you should stand– and if you lose by this every student except Mrs Choate and myself– it will only prove that they had not the truth in their hearts only in their lips

Indeed Mrs Choate and I have been talking this over and she says it is necessary for there to be some such step — If scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science is true — mesmerism is not and you must heal faster than they can make sick and it will be utterly impossible for all the devils together to follow all your patients so that some must escape and they shall be of such a class — of minds — at least those whom I bring to you that they shall testify to your work– If you leave Boston– you are acknowledging their superior strength —

No— stay here– heal fight beat them with their own weapons– I tell you I am not afraid of them all – Mrs Choate is losing her fear You must have none yourself— I know I am earnest but I will show you something of what one little woman can do– If you will only give practical demonstrations and teach too I will fill your rooms for you – and they shall pay

Forgive me if I seen too presuming– You have waked my soul within me and I must be heard.

I shall have many to hear you tomorrow —
