My Dear Teacher and Mother in the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science,

Your favorEditorial Note: See L04529. received this morning. I thank you for remembering me so kindly. Your words are very encouraging and I hope "Our As Written: "Oour heavenly Father" will always make me feel that I am equal As Written: equel to His requirements.

I have several cases that the Dr’s consider hopeless, & I consider hopeful. I am so entirely satisfied with what you have taught me, and by your teaching am learning every day, that I have no hesitancy As Written: hesitency to take any case. I feel a timidity about the responsibility & what people might say if I don’t heal quite quick enough, but I found a good lesson in the 8th chap- of the gospel by Mark 23rd verse. "Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town."Mark 8:23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught. I see that it is better to lead our patients gently out of their beliefs. than summon them too quickly. So I will work & know that "God will work with me to will and do of His good pleasure."Phil 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. I know that God is the author & finisher of His own workHeb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. , & when He calls us to work in His vinyardMatt 20:1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. Matt 20:2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. Matt 20:3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, Matt 20:4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. Matt 20:5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. Matt 20:6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? Matt 20:7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. Matt 20:8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. Matt 20:9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. Matt 20:10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. Matt 20:11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, Matt 20:12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. Matt 20:13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? Matt 20:14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. Matt 20:15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
