My dear Mrs Eddy,

I regret more than words can express the misunderstanding or sad result of Mr Fenn's journey to BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts. Let the blame rest where it will. Mr Fenn left with the impression from me that he was to enter the class gratuitously or by paying the 10000Editorial Note: $100.00 in 1886 is the equivalent of $3,241.51 in 2023.,– but dear Mrs Eddy neither he or myself wanted it so- He and I were more than willing and able to pay three times that amount– what caused the annoyance with Mr F was that he felt that his statement was doubted and as he was unable to see and talk with you and have a clear understanding, he would withdraw from the class of which I sincerely regret,. Money As Written: Mony is nothing compared to this great Truth and I know that I have struggled long and patiently and have been faithful to your teachings to bring him near to this Divine Principle. Now I do notAs Written:donot know when he will go to Boston again– I try to feel that it is all for the best but it seems as though it might have been so different, when I first learned of it I thought it could not be- the distance being so great his letter did not reach me until As Written: untill too late to telegraph you and have this misunderstanding righted and him recalled. I will say no more about this my dear teacher, but in belief it has been a great blow to me. Mr Fenn has felt since his return that some explanation is due you from him, and told me this morning that he would write tomorrow.

Your loving and faithful student
