Yours of Dec. 5Editorial Note: See L12733., duly received.
I am grateful that I may be received as a pupil and student of your glorious ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science.
You did not state the date of your next course of Lectures.
My mother dreads being left alone this cold winter weather and urges me to defer my coming until warmer weather providing in your judgement it will be just as well and that nothing will be lost by the delay.
It seems almost as though I could not wait but if it is for the best I will try to be patient.
My contract with the School Board does not end 'til June and they are loath to release me so if I may join your class in May or June I will try to wait and to do right as far as I have the understanding.
A few of my friends have come to me for help and I have treated them with the little understanding I possess and in every case been successful, please tell me if I ought not to attempt it. I asked Mrs. Coleman while in OmahaEditorial Note: Omaha, Nebraska If we should attempt to demonstrate our understanding of Truth, on others and she said we did not know how until we had been through the course of lectures and would make mistakes– if you say it is wrong I'll not attempt it any more.
Please write me the date of your next class and if you think it will be as well to wait 'til your class in May or June and the date of those if you can. Your booksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy are my constant companions out of school and I feel that a sight of your face and the sound of your voice would indeed give me new inspiration.
