My Beloved Teacher; Friend;

For all the classes; I shall not leave my postEditorial Note: At this time, Silas J. Although I know God cares for our Journal, I do not like this anxiety. for its extension As Written: extention pressing upon me, as it surely does.

There is another very sad picture. I have discovered; in my students, and students of others, a very noticeable As Written: noticable silence on this question of Animal Magnetism. I am sure of a slight apprehension of the great yearning of Jesus, that the people, his Disciples, might see in his mission, vastly more than a healer of sickness; Likewise I am confident; that in your teaching to handle this question of sin, hate and malice, as Animal Magnetism, will the student apprehend your mission. or Christian Science. I do understand the intensity of your desire, that the people, and especially the student, shall perceive Science as you do. Animal Magnetism must be watched, and taken up in all its subtletiesAs Written:subtilties. "Ye shall indeed drink of my cup,"Matt 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father. comes to me so often of late; and I will welcome it, because Science teaches in that cup, is my purification. But my friend I will not trouble you with long letters; and although you know it, I feel that it is good to tell you. of my own growth, and reassure you of our determination .of aiding in this Cause for God and Science.
