Six months or more past these intuitions have come at intervals in clearer forms.
TodayAs Written:To day I am troubled how to decide. upon what I believe I am called upon to do by Science, if I would go higher in spiritual realities. I have answered the question to myself, regardless of the results to myself, because I trust it to God, but if I carry it out shall I do harm to my wife; and this last is what troubles me. Here is these convictions shaped into a self-put question – If the thought and motive of material sense is sin, and hinders spiritual growth; then it must include the marriage relation by the law: Further, ChristEditorial Note: Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law in its spiritual sense. or Science, by destroying the material sense; or construction of the law. that is, material or sensuous marriages.
His words. that mortals greatly err, not knowing the Scriptures; and in heaven we neither marry or are given in marriage.Matt 22:23 ¶The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, Matt 22:24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. Matt 22:25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: Matt 22:26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. Matt 22:27 And last of all the woman died also. Matt 22:28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. Matt 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. Matt 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Mark 12:18 ¶Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying, Mark 12:19 Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man’s brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. Mark 12:20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed. Mark 12:21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise. Mark 12:22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also. Mark 12:23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife. Mark 12:24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? Mark 12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. Luke 20:27 ¶Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him, Luke 20:28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man’s brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. Luke 20:29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children. Luke 20:30 And the second took her to wife, and he died childless. Luke 20:31 And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died. Luke 20:32 Last of all the woman died also. Luke 20:33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife. Luke 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: Luke 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: applying to this world. has convinced me that one great obstacle to spiritual advancement, comes of this error.
