You have doubtless got before this, my answer to your TelegramEditorial Note: This telegram is not extant.. Your real love I am as grateful for as it is possible for me to be, and I hope at no distant period that I shall be able to show it in something more than words. I am grieved that I grieved you in not accompanying My Dear Wife to the Class. She has probably explained to you the reason ere this. It is not an easy matter to break up home and dispose of the three children that are with us. Even if I could have made disposition of our family, I had not the means to meet expenses for both of us, and after the Satisfaction you expressed with me on the examination in presence of Bro Frye & Sister MorganEditorial Note: Possibly Martha E. It is now my intention to start on the 25th Inst and in one week from that time you may expect to see the 'material belief' of yours truly
