My dear Teacher:

Yours of May 26Editorial Note: See L10187. forwarded from Bing.Editorial Note: Binghamton, New York reached me today- I respect your advice As Written: advise and fully coincide with your plan- I have a Class of five here which closes one week from today- I then return to Binghamton where I have another and longer Class than I have had yet, I expect– There is a great deal of interest in BinghamtonAs Written:Bing. and it is fast extending into the surrounding country- I should say it would be a good point to establish an "Institute"Editorial Note: This is a reference to the “Institutes” that existed at the time. They were established in various cities for the purpose of teaching Christian Science by some of Mary Baker Eddy’s students and advertised in The Christian Science Journal.– and if you will tell me the necessary steps to be taken to establish such an institution, I will attend to it at once- Does there need be a charter or anythingAs Written:any thing of that kind? How shall I word a notice of the "Institute" for the Journal-? Of course I want it to be just right– and of course it will be too late to get it into the next Number– which is issued this week I suppose, but will try and have it in the next – but one.

There ought to be one in this cityEditorial Note: Brooklyn, New York- too– There has so much interest grown out of this Class- that five others have asked me to have a Class in the Fall, so that they can study– SomeoneAs Written:Some one has heard of a Mrs. NewmanEditorial Note: Possibly A. B. (Anna B.) Newman. a Christian ScientistAs Written:C.S they said, who was at work here– I don't As Written: dont know if it is the Mrs. Newman- Miss Osgood has had her money ready since April 1st to study with you and then she will take the Normal Course and go to teaching– There is great need of more teachers, for the other side are turning out teachers, just as they do clothes-pins by the gross and not half the people know the difference- I have in Binghamton & vicinity 26 students at work, and some of them are doing grand work too- better than I did as a Healer- I take no patients now, am teaching and forming Classes all the time, & my students are pleased to say I make it very plain to them, I know they do good work

I have called on the CampbellsEditorial Note: J. Allen Campbell and Lysbeth L. Campbell of New YorkAs Written:N. Y. They are doing some good work, but somehowAs Written:some how they are a little slow– Am going to see if I can'tAs Written:cant stir them up a little,

Called on Mrs. Lathrop & she is full of work and has a nice Class of patients. I leave here June 10– Hope to hear from you very soon—

With love–
