My Dear Mrs Eddy:

I wish to ask your advice about coming to your College for instruction My situation is this, last winter I took a course with Mrs Noyes in ChicagoEditorial Note: Chicago, Illinois and have been practicing five months. I cannot say how my experience compares with others as I know nothing of anyoneAs Written:any one else's work. I have worked alone and while I have had decided success in some cases (and I still do very well on a certain line) am not satisfied with the present results of my efforts. The people expect and demand more than I seem able to accomplish.

Have always had courage and as a rule success in my former undertakings but in this ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science the deeper I go and the more it opens out in its immensity I begin to feel as if I had scarcely begun to understand the subject or to realize it.

I have been treated with such respect by the best educated as well as Christian people that I cannot think of disappointing them as to the future demonstrations.

I am willing to give the best I have to this work but want to be as thoroughly prepared as possible, & do not feel that I am now. Should you think I would advance faster by coming to BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts this fall and taking a course with you I think it will be possible to arrange for it.

I would also like to know what the terms of tuition would be as I see you make a reduction to those from a distance, and if students board at the College.

Hoping you will favor me with an early reply.

Very Truly
