Pardon me for not sooner As Written: soonr replying to your last letter. I have been As Written: ben in the Furnace- and am yet, but am getting used to the fire, so I can turn my attention to other As Written: othr matters. A terrible wave of malice and hate- has passed over the community of Scientists, and has made some havoc, but things will right up soon I hope, I laid your letter respecting Mrs. G.J. Adams – etc before Mr Day and the Directors, and you have probably heard from Mr. D. and Mrs Noyes, Mrs. GestefeldAs Written:Gesterfeld, wants to be excommunicated, This means mischief, so we must now go slow but sure. The matter would have been all settled, but for the word one of the members of your last Primary fetched us, We did wrong in acting upon anything As Written: any thing not official, but will do right, as we see the right.

It is very kind in you to be willing to bother with my pamphlet, when you have so much of you own to do, And I am sorry As Written: sory it is not now acceptable, for it has been, considerable expense, besides there seemed to be a need of something As Written: some thing of the kind. I have had two editions, 1000 copies each printed, so I do not feel that I can afford to have any more done at present, although I would like your corrections very much. Printing is much cheaper here than in Boston. I have had a number As Written: numbr of letters from As Written: frm loyal students expressing regret that the article did not appear in our Journal. Now if you think best you may print it in the Journal as a copyrighted As Written: copy righted article, It would perhaps reach more in this way. If you decide not to print it in the J. C. S. please let me know, and also what the terms would be to have it brought out in Boston later on, in its present form.

My husband is away from As Written: frm home, at work in Science of course. Can you f ind time to write to him It would do him good to hear from you.

How sad it is about Mr. Snider, Do you know it has caused almost a panic amongst the Scientists.

Lovingly your student,
Ellen Linscott.
