Dear Brother:

Miss Fletcher of ChicagoEditorial Note: Chicago, Illinois is very anxious to attend Mrs. Eddy's class- and I feel as if I owe it to her to write you a few lines in regard to her- She spent a week in MontpelierEditorial Note: Montpelier, Vermont with Mrs. Hale when I was there, and I felt she was very earnest in the work of helping others; and she seemed to have more spiritual light than most people- I think she is thoroughly honest. She refuses to have anythingAs Written:any thing to do with Mind-Cure. Swarts has tried to get her to work with him but she will not nor allow her card to enter his JournalEditorial Note: The Mind Cure and Science of Life (later renamed Mental Science Magazine). as she does not like what he teaches. Thinking Mrs. Hale an earnest Christian Scientist she sent for her to come to Battle Creek to teach a class- - but found her mixing up everythingAs Written:every thing else with the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science, and so opposed to Mrs. Eddy that she could not work with her- This is confidential as I do not think Miss Fletcher would like me to repeat it, but think you ought to know it- I have corresponded with her for nearly a year, as she has always continued to write to me, so I have known much of her work and her associations. Mrs. Hale is in Chicago now, trying to teach. What a pity!

I understand that Mrs. Plunket and Mrs. Hopkins are in MinneapolisEditorial Note: Minneapolis, Minnesota teaching, and I hear they have a class of sixty-three-

Please give my love to Mrs. Eddy and tell her I am finding out that I can heal now- I have done some very good work lately and I will write her about it somedayAs Written:some day- I am a little uncertain whether it is better for me to return to RochesterEditorial Note: Rochester, New York or to go to Watkins. Perhaps it is better to go to Watkins and so work in ElmiraEditorial Note: Elmira, New York- as one cure I made through Science has awakened a little interest in Elmira- though the patient lives in Hanover, New YorkAs Written:N. Y. three miles from Watkins. I favor Watkins unless somethingAs Written:some thing occurs to change my plans-

Truly yours–
Sarah A. Pine.
