Handshift:Julia S. BartlettDear Mrs Eddy

I have been thinking for some time of writing you a line telling you the reason why I have not been to the College altho' I suppose you know — Mr Fry gave me to understand I was not to go again until you sent for me-

I have been in for "Books"Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and asked him to tell you I had been and to give you my love – which was all I could do under the circumstances

I have been working very hard in different directions and successfully

God will be the Judge of my motives and my acts — I am trying to reach that point where Man's judgment cannot move me and to look only to God as He may guide me directly or through my Teacher- and I am growing stronger –

My time, my strength - All is for this glorious causeEditorial Note: The cause of Christian ScienceSometimeAs Written:Some time the Truth will be seen plainly as it is- I can wait patiently for it In the meantime I only ask that my experiences make me better and that whatever is wrong in me may be overcome through suffering if not otherwise

Your loving Student
J. S. Bartlett.
