My visit left pleasant memories and opens agreeable prospects.

Faith Hope and CharityI Cor 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. , are graces so rare in our modern life, that one comes within their presence with something akin to wonder and sweet surprise. I certainly shall wish to meet with your devoted Circle; only let me know when and how I may be permitted that privilege. I wish to learn and have not undocile ears.

Last Sunday evening I met a pleasant circle at Mr Emerson's, and took occasion to speak of yourself, your ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science and disciples. Mr Emerson had heard of your bookEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, it appeared, and the company listened to what I had to tell without disloyal criticism.

In such ways, I shall best advertise yourselfAs Written:your self and your ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science.

Next Wednesday evening, I am to meet the Divinity students at CambridgeEditorial Note: This is likely a reference to Harvard Divinity School, which is one of the schools of Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts., for Conversation on Divine ideas and methods. I think you may safely trust my commendations of your faith and methodsEditorial Note: Christian Science. anywhere.

Hoping to meet you again for more intimate fellowship.

I am.
Cordially Yours,
